Bakers’ Contest – Celebrate the Holidays in July!

To be held in conjunction with Green Up Day, the 4th Annual Bakers’ Contest theme is “all about your best holiday recipes”.  Perhaps it is Christmas in July, or maybe you celebrate Hannukah, or an early Thanksgiving at the lake.

Judges will recognize baking excellence in three “all ages” categories and one “under 18” category. Participants can enter up to 1 item per category.

All ages:

1) Yeast Breads – handmade or bread machine creations

2) Anything Chocolate

3) Decorated Holiday Cookies

Junior Bakers – Decorated Holiday Cookies

Drop off your entries no later than 10:30 AM at Elvin Johnson Park. Judging will take place during Green Up Day with prizes awarded around 1 PM.

Entries must include the recipe. The recipe along with the first and last name of the baker and contact info (phone number and email address) should be taped to the bottom of a disposable container/plate/platter. If the baker is under 18 years old, please indicate by adding “Junior Baker entry” to the contact info.

This is a free, family-friendly event.
