HHLPOA Annual General Meeting

The HHLPOA Annual General Meeting (AGM) is an opportunity to hear about the activities of the association, learn information about our lakes, meet the members of the board, renew your membership and connect with your neighbours.

We will hold the AGM in person this year. Registration and membership renewal will start at 9:30am with refreshments at Shalom by the Lake Resort on Little Hawk Lake Road. Business meeting will follow from 10am to noon.

AH Township update – on items like Shoreline Preservation By-law, short term rentals, Hawk Lake/Maple Lake dump, houseboat issues, extc.

U-Links presentation – benthic biomonitoring results & water quality monitoring update

Wildfire Mitigation & FiresSmart Canada – from the Stanhope Firefighter Association

Invasive Species – Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters

Speakers this year include Algonquin Highlands Mayor Liz Danielson, Ward 2 Councillor Sabrina Richards and Frank Figuli, Environmental Program Coordinator, U-Links, Julian Haineault, President and West Popp, VP, Stanhope Firefighters Association, and Jeff Berthelette, Outreach Liaison, Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters

Burgers, hot dogs, chips and soft drinks will be available by donation. The Candy Shop at Shalom will be open for purchase of treats, including Kawartha Dairy ice cream.
