A big “green” thank you to our volunteers!

A small but mighty group worked for a few hours on Saturday August 22nd, Green Up Day, to clean up the roads around Halls and Hawk Lakes as well as the Kennisis River.
We have also had volunteers contribute to the Parade of Lights, who were inadvertently missed earlier.  Big thanks to Joan O’Halloran, Jamie and Sam for the entertainment and last but not least, Ron and Cathy Socha for their food donations as well as for leading the parade.
This weekend, a group of volunteers is beginning work on restoring the art installation at the Narrows between Big and Little Hawk that we all know as the “Totem Pole”.
Volunteers can make a difference!  We are presently hoping to find carpenters to make bird boxes as well people to monitor an Eastern Bluebird Trail next spring and summer.  Email president@hallshawklakes.ca if you can help out.
