Get out and enjoy winter time in the Haliburton Highlands!
Do you only have time for a weekend at the cottage? Make the most of it by getting out on the snowmobile trails when they open (as of today, Wednesday January 21, the trails on our three lakes have not yet opened), discover animal tracks, enjoy the peace and beauty of a walk in the snowy woods and gaze on the northern lights as they flicker across the night sky. Have you ever been to a Garden Party on the frozen lake?
Are you here for the long haul? Head to Bracebridge on January 31st for the “Fire and Ice Festival” – it won’t disappoint! How about a small town winter carnival? Dorset hosts the annual “Snowball Winter Carnival” on February 13 and 14. Enjoy music brought to you by Haliburton County Folk Society and My Haliburton Highlands during the month of February with the February Folk Fest. And this weekend, on January 24 and 25, are the Minden Ice Races. More information on these and other events is online here https://myhaliburtonhighlands.com/whats-happening/
