The Halls & Hawk Lakes Property Owners Association (HHLPOA) AGM is this Saturday, June 21st. All are welcome – even if you are not (yet) a member!
It’s at Shalom by the Lake Resort, 1570 Little Hawk Lake Road on Halls Lake. It will run rain or shine from 9:30am ‘til you finish your free/by donation BBQ lunch.
The HHLPOA business meeting will start at 10am with updates on our programs & activities, a presentation of our financials and budget for this year and confirmation of our amazing and much appreciated board of directors.
Following the business meeting, our speaker theme this year is “All about Water Quality”.
We’ve got great guest speakers:
- Terry Rees – FOCA’s Source Water Protection Program
- Lake Plan Committee’s Executive Summary update
- Alison King and Bruce Green – “Year of the Loon” projects
- Mayor Liz Danielson and Councillor Sabrina Richards – Algonquin Highlands Township update
We’ve got fantastic live auction items:
- Paintings by John Lennard and Mary Intven Wallace
- Wooden Loon carved by Bob Mowbray
- “Garden Consultation” by Haliburton County Master Gardeners Rita Dadzis and Shelley Fellows
And we’ve got a whole lineup of silent auction items graciously donated by Lakeside Market vendors and local businesses.
Credit & debit cards will be accepted but we sure would appreciate cash participation in the 50-50 draw. Donations for lunch will also be gratefully accepted.
