“Float the River – In Style” August 7th

The next HHLPOA event for kids will be on Wednesday, August 7th – Float the River in Style! This event was so popular last year, we’re running it again this year.

This free event has two parts. The first will be a “float” down the river on a non-powered watercraft of your choice, decorated with flair and creativity. The floating portion of this event will start shortly after 1pm at the bridge at the corner of Braeloch and Little Hawk Lake roads, and ends at Elvin Johnson Park on Halls Lake. Kids, bring your parents as all participants need an adult with them for the floating portion of this event.

The second part of this event will be painting of wooden birdhouses at Elvin Johnson Park, thanks to the wood craft artistry of HHLPOA director Will L’Heureux and painting skills of Con Janson. Once you arrive at EJ Park, there will be snacks and bottled water available as well. You can take the bird house home with you when we wrap up around 4pm!

So that we might plan for snacks & painting supplies, parents please pre-register your kids for this event here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/926869139547?aff=oddtdtcreator
