On Saturday June 21st, HHLPOA welcomes the community to our Annual General Meeting at Shalom by the Lake, 1570 Little Hawk Lake Road. Morning treats and coffee, along with check in, will begin at 9:30 . This will give you time prior to the 10am meeting start in order to check out the great items that we will have available for the Silent Auction as well as the Live Auction. This year, our Live Auction items have been donated by John Lennard, Mary Intven Wallace and Bob Mowbray. There are also a multitude of great Silent Auction items from our generous artisan and artist community, and we’ll have a pre-order table for our “Year of the Loon” apparel and merchandise. The meeting will conclude at noon and will be followed by a “by donation” community BBQ and info tables from a range of community organizations.
During the business meeting, HHLPOA members will hear about our financial performance, vote on our slate of directors and get a report on our 2024-2025 activities. We’ll learn about the updated Lake Plan, what’s going on with our “Year of the Loon” projects and hear from Terry Rees, project lead for FOCA’s Source Water Protection project. Algonquin Highlands Mayor, Liz Danielson, will also bring us up to date with developments at the township.
