Native Shrub and Tree Sale May 27th

Earth Month just keeps on going! Here’s your chance to enhance your property with some very reasonably-priced native trees and shrubs.

From 9 to 11 am on Saturday May 27th at two convenient locations – Big Hawk Marina and Elvin Johnson Park – you will be able to purchase from the “cash and carry”  HHLPOA Native Tree and Shrub Sale.

Native tree and shrub seedlings that have been selected specifically to be well suited to the ecosystems on our lakes will be available. Naturalize your shoreline or build up the diversity of your property, attract pollinators and birds and enjoy!

A Haliburton County Master Gardener will be at each location to advise on planting and care of the trees and shrubs you purchase.

There will be a limited number of species and trees/shrubs available, so show up early for the best selection! Seedlings will be “bare root” and will be between 12″ & 24″ tall. They will need to be planted within 24 hours, so make time to garden on May 27th or 28th. Seedlings will be priced at $5 each or 3 for $12 (no tax).
