Ready, Aim…don’t just take a picture, MAKE a picture!

Kids and Parents Photo Challenge Day is back again on Thursday August 10th from 9:30am-2pm. Halls and Hawk Lakes POA is the only lake association in Ontario teaming up with The Roberta Bondar Foundation to provide this learning opportunity to school-aged children (5-18) and their accompanying adult.

Everyone will learn a lot about photography and kids will have a chance to win some terrific prizes, all while appreciating nature at a spectacular local spot.

You must pre-register your kids for this event – event info andregistration link are here: https://hallshawklakes.ca/event/kids-photo-challenge-back-again/

Did you know that Dr. Roberta Bondar is not only Canada’s first female astronaut, but she is also a world-class photographer?  Her non-profit foundation has worked with schools, EcoSchools and summer camps for over a decade.

Space is limited to 24 school-aged participants. Rain Date: August 11.  Please email transfer the entry fee to hhlpoa.treasurer@hallshawklakes.ca or bring cash to the event.

Huge thanks to  Michael J. Bainbridge and Brigitte Gall, co-founders of the puzzle-making factory, The Occurrence, for once again providing the Grand Prize of the winning photo to be made into a puzzle. HHLPOA also would like to thank Kawartha Dairy for their continued support.
