Here’s another opportunity to learn about science – this time it’s astronomy! Join astronomy expert and Big Hawk Lake cottager Julia Smith at the Henderson cottage Thursday, August 1st, to learn about the night sky over our lakes.
Starting at sunset (8:30pm), Julia will share her knowledge about the stars, planets and constellations we see. Hopefully, we’ll also see some meteors from the Perseid meteor shower!
We’ll be on the beach of the Henderson cottage at 1097 Lil’s Lane off Big Hawk Lake Road (the dirt road after the bridge just past Big Hawk Marina). Arrive a few minutes prior to 8:30pm, bring a lawn chair or blanket, bug spray and prepare to relax and enjoy the night sky. The property is accessible by road or by boat.
