Back again in 2026, the HHLPOA Native Tree and Shrub Sale will take place on Saturday, May 23 at Elvin Johnson Park. Haliburton County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your questions about planting and nurturing your new plants as well. As always, all plants will be bare-root and ready to plant that weekend and will cost just $5 each.
We’ve got some terrific plants on order for you this year, including Spicebush (which is a host plant for the Spicebush Swallowtail butterfly) and Tulip Tree. Start planning now to plant along your shoreline or naturalize an area of your property. All purchases are first come, first served and we’ll only have 250 on hand.
