Two dates for Fabulous Fall Hikes

Have you always wanted to go on a hike with an Indigenous person sharing her knowledge of the forest? Or maybe you have always meant to hike the Five Viewpoints but were not quite sure where the best views were?
You have two big chances this fall!
This Saturday September 24th Brook O’Halloran is leading a hike with the gathering point at Carol & Brent Winter’s cottage at 2105 Big Hawk Lake Road.  Full event information is here
On Saturday October 1st Alison King will meet you at the Log Chute Park to share her love of the views from the trail between Big Hawk and Little Hawk.   Full event information is here
Both hikes will start at 10 am and will last approximately two hours. Make sure that you have good walking/hiking shoes as well as a bottle of water and weather appropriate clothing.
Parking for the September 24th hike from the Winter’s is limited for boat or car, so ride sharing is recommended.   Parking on October 1st can be at the Log Chute where shuttle arrangements can be made with some cars left at Little Hawk Landing. Or just make arrangements for someone to drop you off at the Log Chute and pick you up at Little Hawk.
Registration is not required for these hikes, however if you are going to need a ride back from Little Hawk send us a note at info@hallshawklakes.ca
What a fabulous fall opportunity to enjoy fresh air and our stunning autumn scenes. The leaves will be down before you know it!
