The May long weekend is finally here and it looks like the weather will be perfect! If you’re opening this weekend, we hope that it all goes smoothly and you don’t have any unexpected surprises. Water levels are considered “average” for this time of year, so our record high levels have subsided.
Speaking of surprises, effective earlier this year, there are new speed limits on Big Hawk Lake Road from the Log Chute parking lot to the end of the road. Posted speed limits drop from 50 km/h to 30 km/h just before the Log Chute parking lot, then down to 15 km/h as you approach the marina. Speed bumps have also been installed near the fuel pumps at the marina. It’s all about safety!
